My thoughts: I’m not really sure what I expected, but whatever expectations I had were far higher than this.

   Let’s start with the characters.

   The good thing about them is that they are flawed. The bad thing about them is that they are both irritating. They do stupid things, too stupid things. I like flawed characters, because it makes them more real, but Trina and Slade were too flawed, which made them annoying.

   Exhibit A:

   Trina made a deal with Slade’s mother to mentor him, in secret, and got paid for it. Slade didn’t know this, but thought he had actually gotten the job as a nanny all by himself, with just a little push from his parents. Why would Trina agree to do such a horrible thing to Slade? This is the best part; to buy a new laptop!

   And, okay, she and her mother has some economic issues, but that is still not an excuse. And it’s not the only reason she agrees to do it.

   Exhibit B:

   Slade makes a bet with his best friend that he can get Trina to “relax” before the summer ends. Who makes bets like that anyway? Although that is not nearly as horrible as Trina’s deal with his mother, so I can almost forgive him for his stupidity.

   Let’s talk about… the plot.

   I felt like the idea behind this book was so much better than the book. The idea sounds interesting and fun, but the book… isn’t. In fact, it’s pretty boring. Sure, the kids Trina and Slade are babysitting are pretty difficult at times, especially Gillian, but except for the kids freaking out every now and then – actually, pretty often – it feels like nothing really happens. There are a few misunderstandings and such, but it was just too boring.

   There were also a lot of faults in the writing. Small things, but they reoccurred, which annoyed me. Now, maybe that is because it’s an Advanced Reader Copy, uncorrected proof, because I’ve read other reviews that stated the writing was great, but I can’t judge that, since I read an ARC, not the final copy, so I judge what I read.

   The plot was still interesting, I didn’t hate the characters too much, and overall, it was a good read. It's a sweet, romantic, light, and fun read, and definitely worth reading.
